work, snow, cab rides, and pancakes

Today was such a fun day full of adventures! Me, Emily, Indra and Ema took our first trip to the new iHop since it is (apparently) one of the first iHop restaurants that moved to Canada (and of course because we wanted to try their pancakes!!) . We decided to meet at the mall first, so me and Ema decided to take the train together and look what we had to go through to get to the station! (top right) When we all met at the mall, we took a small bus from there to iHop. We had no idea where we had to get off, but luckily we saw the iHop sign and got off at the right stop. The food was so delicious. I think we ate the food faster than it was made :p. When we got out of the restaurant we realized we had no idea how to get home. We walked for a bit, asking people if they knew of any buses that would take us home but no one knew. All our parents had work so there was no one to pick us up. Luckily Emily had a cab number and we called a cab to come pick us up. It was really exciting because I had never been in a cab besides going to airports with my parents. The cab we got was really fancy. It was not a regular yellow cab, it was black with leather-like material seats. We got dropped off at Emily's house and I stayed over until I had to go to work. I didn't feel like going home to change, so I borrowed Emily's uniform. Usually at work everyone mixes us up and calls me Emily and her Alice, so wearing her uniform with her name tag didn't really make much difference. (btw top left is my walk to work- it was sunset and so pretty)
